Rachel's Day 70 of 366 - March 10, 2020
It is officially spring when the geese flock to my parents’ fields! This one was getting a running start before flying away. I was happy to capture the reflection in the quick click of the shutter.

The first robin of the season is here and what a beauty it is!
Rachel's Day 72 of 366 - March 12, 2020
I have never seen a piece of driftwood this color before! I’m grateful that Brad’s Uncle Budde called to let us know about it.
Rachel's Day 73 of 366 - March 13, 2020
I love exploring the curves of the Ludington State Park shoreline along M-116. This particular evening, the second curve grabbed my attention.
Rachel's Day 74 of 366 - March 14, 2020
This squirrel seemed like the perfect photo for today. Simple. Composed. Sweet.
Rachel's Day 75 of 366 - March 15, 2020
This home has been the subject of many photographers over the years. As I visit it today, I worked to let the light through the doorway while keeping the tree limbs on the right, reaching into the shot.
Rachel's Day 76 of 366 - March 16, 2020
I have several of these solar lights along my porch railing. I was struck how much the metal framed the light in black on this dark night.
Rachel's Day 77 of 366 - March 17, 2020
A walk in the Ludington State Park was just what the doctor ordered today. The sunshine and Brad’s company helped calm the unease of COVID-19, even if it was just for a few hours. I chose F22 so that the sunburst, or double sunburst in this case, would appear.
Rachel's Day 78 of 366 - March 18, 2020
The pond up at Bespop’s is one of my favorite places to visit. This evening it was full of life as the birds and peepers kept me company.
Rachel's Day 79 of 366 - March 19, 2020
I am a very realistic person. In my photography though, I like to do things outside the box. This photo is one example of that.
Rachel's Day 81 of 366 - March 21, 2020
The sky wasn’t as exciting as I would have liked today when I got out to shoot. I decided to turn my focus on the reflections in the Sauble River. I love the greens and blues.
Rachel's Day 82 of 366 - March 22, 2020
Even though I see these red-winged black birds quite frequently, I am always in awe of their beauty.
Rachel's Day 83 of 366 - March 23, 2020
The Pere Marquette River winds around the south side of our family farm. There are many spots that we regularly visit, but this area near the natural spring is one of my favorites. Today, the massive, billowy clouds reminded me of Clyde Butcher’s photography in the Everglades of Florida.

Rachel’s Day 84
We raise Shorthorn cattle on our family farm, Weldon Creek Farms. This young steer was particularly cute today as we did chores. The kids and I are staying very close to home so that we can still safely be at the farm daily to help and visit with my mom and dad.
Rachel's Day 85 of 366 - March 25, 2020
Brad was graced with a photo of a hawk yesterday. Today, miles apart from where he made his image, a hawk flew over the heads of the kids and me during a picnic on the farm.
Rachel's Day 86 of 366 - March 26, 2020
A simple composition can be a strong composition. I liked the framing around the sun by the branches of these trees. You don’t always have to include the entire tree in your image, your brain will complete the missing parts.
Rachel's Day 87 of 366 - March 27, 2020
This willow tree frames our backyard view perfectly. The Ohse farm looks pretty tonight.
Rachel's Day 88 of 366 - March 28, 2020
I love the silhouette of my daughter. Tonight, we had a little fun out in the dark with a lantern.
Rachel's Day 89 of 366 - March 29, 2020
My kids like to give ideas for my photo of the day. Today, they suggested I take a macro shot of some air freshener beads. They reminded me of fish eggs.
Rachel's Day 90 of 366 - March 30, 2020
The kids and I took a trip into Ludington for the sunset tonight. Although there was only a small portion of vibrant color, I like the mysterious feel.
