Pentwater Pierhead Lighthouse
Crashing Into Pentwater
We like to immerse ourselves in a scene. On this February afternoon, my camera and I are very close to the ice-covered shoreline and waves breaking inside the Pentwater pierheads.
Pentwater Night
Pentwater North Pierhead Light attracts many people on summer nights, but its main purpose is to help guide boats into Pentwater harbor. Its conical tower stands 43-feet high to help mariners, find the harbor by day. By night, a green light on top of the tower flashes to aid boaters in finding the harbor entrance.

Pentwater has to be one of the most charming places to visit in all of the United States, especially in the warm-weather months. Tonight Pentwater bustles with people enjoying the great weather at the start of Memorial Day weekend.

I have always enjoyed this vantage of Pentwater harbor channel and tonight the view looks and feels like summer. A sailboat provides an important added ingredient.

Todd Reed's Day 191 of 365
After a long day at the Pentwater Art Fair, I am exhausted but decide to stay in Pentwater to shoot a shelf cloud moving toward shore. That done, my instincts tell me to stay for the sunset. Now my decision to stay for the afterglow is rewarding me with a great view of the most colorful sky I have ever seen in Pentwater.
