Rachel’s Day 284 of 366 - October 10, 2020
Before we headed back toward Mackinaw City, we had to take the kids to Miners Castle Rock. Unfortunately, it was very cold here today. I had to increase my ISO even though it was sunny out, to raise my shutter speed enough that the tree was mostly still in the center of the image. Then it was just waiting for white caps to be in the right places.

Brad Reed's Day 313 of 365
The bridge on Jebavy Drive over the Lincoln River seems wide while driving your vehicle on it, but as a pedestrian holding a camera, those cars seem mighty close zooming by at 55 miles per hour. While questioning my risk assessment, I made the shot just in time. F8.0 at 1/100, ISO 100, 18-50 mm lens at 18 mm

Porcupine Shoreline

Superior Morning
Superior Morning
Morning fog rises along the shoreline of Lake Superior near the South Boundary Road at Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. I like the way the fog stands out against the shadowy early morning light and yet the fall color stands out as well. F22 at 1/15, ISO 100, 80-200mm lens at 92mm

Castle Color
Overnight the fall color at Miners Castle had become even more brilliant than when I scouted it out. Providing an added ingredient to the composition, a cluster of fallen leaves floated on the surface of Lake Superior. This is one of the many spectacular rocky views along some 15 miles of cliffs in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
