Brad Reed's Day 24 of 365
As many of you know from the great Facebook debate, I had a hard time choosing which photo to use today. The pears at Meijer that I shot with my iPhone versus the ice at the end of Ludington Avenue I shot with my big camera. After reading the comments and objectively looking at the two compositions, I felt the pears were better art.

Rachel Gaudette’s Day 26 of 366 - January 26, 2020
I’ve always appreciated this large tree on Sugar Grove Road. Today, with the snow falling, the atmosphere it created was the perfect added ingredient.
The Laughing Tree
Every time I drive by this tree on US10 just before Chase, Michigan, I check it out to see if it is ready to be photographed. On this frigid February morning as two of my best friends, Sarah Genson and Rachel Gaudette, and I are heading across the state on a photo mission, we get out of my truck to make this image. Like usual, we are laughing at each other the entire time.
Indian Summer
Everyone loves seeing apple blossoms decorate the countryside of the Lake Michigan shoreline counties in springtime, but I am among the many who get just as excited to see the apple trees loaded with apples ready for harvest at the end of summer and during fall.

Marsh Grass
Whoever thinks swamps are ugly has never really seen one. Look past preconceived notions or connotations. Spend time getting acquainted with the swampy areas of Ludington State Park. The result: seeing and savoring scenes like this one I discovered while hiking the Island Trail.
Come Alive
Nothing pops out of the countryside more than bright red Michigan tart cherries. They are so bright and shiny they glow in the daylight. I never get tired of taking photographic road trips through the orchard country of Michigan's West Shore counties.

Deadman's Hill
Northern Michigan scenic vista views abound. What impressed me most about the bird’s eye view from Deadman’s Hill was the wide range of colors apparent on this mid-October day. I look forward to returning to this marvelous spot in Mackinaw State Forest near Elmira
