Rachel Gaudette's Day 183 of 366 - July 1, 2020
I don’t believe I have ever made an image at Lincoln Lake. I left Ludington later than I had planned, and sunset was fading fast. I parked past the bridge on M-116 and walked quickly in between cars to capture this sunset over Lincoln Lake.
Brad Reed's Day 204 of 365
The view from the Jebavy bridge looking east has always intrigued me, but I have never been able to make a good photograph from that vantage point. Tonight, while Ethan and I were driving home from our weeklong vacation in Manistee, Michigan, I saw the reflection of the house in the Lincoln River and knew I had found my photo of the day.

Brad Reed's Day 278 of 365
Ethan and I went out to the end of the dock at Cartier Park to see what the mist and fog looked like over Lincoln Lake with Epworth in the background. At first the view was rather ordinary, but within a few minutes the sunlight broke out of the clouds and the view became extraordinary.

Brad Reed's Day 306 of 365
Every year I look forward to seeing this view of Lincoln Lake. I love when you can see the limbs and trunks of the trees on the northern edge of the lake while still seeing some of the color in the remaining leaves.

Brad Reed's Day 313 of 365
The bridge on Jebavy Drive over the Lincoln River seems wide while driving your vehicle on it, but as a pedestrian holding a camera, those cars seem mighty close zooming by at 55 miles per hour. While questioning my risk assessment, I made the shot just in time.

Brad Reed's Day 346 of 365
Most of Michigan was hit with a nasty winter storm overnight. Unlike most people, my dad and I love when winter strikes hard. Ethan and I made our way down M-116 and I made this photograph of Epworth Heights from the bridge over the Lincoln River.

Brad Reed's Day 360 of 365
My uncle, Rod Marble, has a beautiful log home along the Lincoln River northeast of Ludington. This view is on his property and is one of my favorite spots near his home, especially in the winter months.

October Sunrise
October sunrises in Michigan are hard to beat. You often get a mix of fog and intense color on October mornings. This shot was made from the bridge on Jebavy Drive over the Lincoln River.

Reflections of Mount Epworth - Panoramic
Fall color can be so fun to photograph in the fog. The vibrant colors of the leaves are muted by the fog, but still help define the lines in a photograph. I made this photograph of Epworth while standing on the Lincoln River bridge.

High Above the Pine
I have never canoed down the Pine River, but I have heard from many experienced canoers that it is one of the best rivers in Michigan for canoeing. I made this atmospheric photograph off the bridge on M37 not far from the M55 intersection.

Wintertime on the Pine
The bird's-eye view of the Pine River while passing over the bridge on US37 near M55 is always spectacular. Today, we park our vehicles and hike onto the bridge to be able to take in the view in slow time instead of at 55 miles per hour, making the view even more impressive.
